A family tradition

Every Father's Day I take my kids in to get their pictures taken for my husband. The kids wear their daddy's clothes, his work clothes. All over sized and hanging all awkward on them. We do some black and white and some in color. They always turn out great.

This year my oldest happened to tell daddy exactly what he was going to get for Father's Day, the same day we took the pictures. He ruined the secret! I didn't know this yet until after we gave 'daddy' his gift on Father's Day. I guess it truly didn't matter because this is our tradition. This is what we always have done. It feels good to have traditions and I hope that we make more of them soon.

My husband seems to always love these pictures so it is a great tradition to have started. It is nice because it can be from all of us. My husband always gets a special picture that no one else gets. I order many other pictures and then share them with all of the family.

I can't wait to see what the rest look like when we get them back. My boys do want to be just like daddy when they grow up. I wonder how long this will last?!?!?
