We are having a great day. Woke up and everyone was happy. Everyone ate a good breakfast. Our little guy is sick with a cold but has a smile none-the-less.
We got through 2 hours of preschool with no complaints! It was an animal science day and those always rock. We did Frogs vs Toads. The letter x.
Jesus healing bible stories. Jesus birthday sticker art. Made blueberry yogurt pops for the freezer. And did a little bit of coloring (we are not big into this coloring thing and it takes a lot of patience not to scribble).
Next the whole family ran to the tennis courts (Sonne our dog included) to play 6 games and get lots of exercise.
Daddy took our oldest out to collect cutter ants for his ant farm. We don't see those types of ants here very often. It is usually just the fire ant kind and those are hard to catch and put into the ant farm (ouch). They found a big colony and brought back a couple dozen. We'll keep you posted in how our new cutter ants do.
Now the boys are down for a nap and we are hoping that they don't call daddy into work tonight so we will get an EXTRA DAY with him. If not at least we had the afternoon!
We are blessed to have each other and to have time together. I know that there are many families out there that both parents have to work many hours each month to make ends meet. We are blessed to have such great jobs with nice flexibility (and a free day off every once in a while). I can't imagine missing more time away from these kids yet good parents are forced to do this every week. It makes me really look at what a good thing I have here in Texas where things are affordable and the weather is finally compatible with playing outside.
John 10:10 I have come in order that you might have life. Life in all its fullness.
Fullness - Yes that is so true. How full and great is my life. All from the sacrifice of Jesus. Wow. The Lord gives me joy in my heart for my husband and this family. Joy for this life.
I pray that we have another perfect day for our family sometime soon.
