Texas Football

What an eye opener. Going to a Texas high school football game is like going to a college game.

Last night we took a spontaneous adventure out to the local stadium to see if any games were being played. We had to park far away and take a long walk in only to be told that the local side was already all sold out and we would have to purchase our tickets from the visitors side. Wow.

We finally got inside and the boys loved it. They were wide eyed everywhere they looked. I could not believe how big the stadium was. It holds 9600 fans. Also crazy to me was the size of the band and drill teams for both sides. This is serious business here in Texas. My hubby was very impressed with the size and abilities of the starters for the game.

Fun was had by all and we will be doing it again. If you live in or ever plan to visit Texas you should check out the local high school football programs!
