Safe Side Adults

We introduced our kiddos to 'The Safe Side - Stranger Safety' movie last year. It is the time of year again to make sure they remember. We decided to ask our oldest (5 1/2) who his safe side adults were. He thought about it and mentioned our neighbor, our house cleaner, and his Sunday school teacher. These are all great people but none of the adults we designated as being his safe side adults last year (movie designates them as 'kind-of-knows'). So now we have learned that we need to bring all the safety rules up more often. We also are going to sit down and reevaluate who we have on our list of 3 safe side adults for our little guys. I suppose it really isn't going to be an issue until something crazy were to happen. With our jobs and with life being so unpredictable it is a concern. You don't know what tomorrow will bring because each day is a new blessing from God.

For now we will keep up with our safety points more frequently. And quiz our oldest from time to time to keep him on his toes. We want to ensure we have done everything we could to keep our kids safe and in our hands alone.

We are going to 'Keep it on the safe side' at our house.

Your Safe Side Adult should be just like glue.
If you can see them then they can see you!
Don’t leave with anyone any time of day,
Unless your Safe Side Adult says, “It’s OK.”
