Reading Rewards

Our oldest son loves to learn (especially science) but is not interested in reading right now. We have a new sticker chart up for reading extra outside of our homeschool time. He has already filled up a whole chart. His reward is a new small toy. We are so excited that something is finally working and making it less of a battle to suggest reading.

Another reward we had for him was learning his letter cluster sounds (or, sh, ir, ...). Our curriculum uses a balloon popping game to learn them. He had 40 of them to get down and then once he did, he got to pick out any balloon at the party store that he wanted. He picked out this red Power Ranger!

Hope this lasts more than a couple weeks. And hope he learns to love reading like I do.
