Ultrasound

We had a great ultrasound today with the whole family. We prepared the boys on what they should expect and that this was a big privilege to see. We told them at any point the technician could ask them to leave so they really needed to behave every second. A lot of prayer went into making this decision as we knew if something happened, it would mean my husband also having to leave the room and miss it all to take care of the boys.

We arrived and were given a room. They sat very quiet, only whispering their questions. The technician watched the baby and took measurements for about 35 minutes total. It was amazing.

Our oldest really understood what he was looking at. He asked great questions but mostly just said 'Wow, Cool, ...'. The technician even let him climb up onto the bed and sit with me while she checked everything out. About 20 minutes into it our youngest got a little antsy and wanted a snack. My husband did a quick seat swap with him and that seemed to get him a different view for a while and hold him off until the end.

They were both angels. I still can't believe that we made it through the whole thing without one disagreement or 'mommy' request. It was definitely a God thing. A great family memory!

Can't wait to meet this new addition in just 4 1/2 more months. Watching the baby move was great bonding for all of us. The baby is very real to the boys now.
