Instrument Appreciation

Today for school a couple other families came over to do our monthly theme. The pick this month was instruments.

We started off the school portion with an instrument craft. Everyone got to design their own guitars. It was great. They all had strings on them and then colored
and 'stickered' them up. While they were hunkered down busy we taught them about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his childhood accomplishments.

Next was a themed snack. Bugle Chips with 4 choices of dip. The kiddos seemed to just want to snack on the chips mostly.

Every child had to do their instrument presentation next. Our oldest did the accordion and did a good job remembering his facts. Our youngest did the drums and did alright trying to get through his speech with quite a bit of help from mom.

The last thing we did was a musical game. We had over 50 different instruments cut out from magazines laying on the floor. We played music while the kiddos danced. When the music stopped they had to find an instrument and glue it up on the wall poster under the correct instrument classification. They all had a fun time being crazy and trying to hurry to get their picture in the right place.

Great time and can't wait for next month.
