The time has come. We have been waiting months. It is finally blueberry season here in Texas and we are already taking advantage of this. We have been out twice this week to a blueberry orchard and have gotten 22 pounds total. The kiddos last about an hour picking and then we leave.
When we arrive we are greeted by the very friendly owners who adore my husband. Then we get our buckets. Everybody can have a bucket! The kids love this and each get their own as well and we can eat as many as we'd like while we pick. It is heavenly.
We set off to find our first blueberry picking area. The kids know that they can only pick the blue ones and we don't have much of a problem with them picking the unripe ones. We do however hardly find any in their buckets when we check because they eat most of them. Especially the little one. He will have about 20 in his bucket an hour later when we are finished. We don't mind though, as long as they aren't crying and complaining.
