Silly New Years

So our oldest wanted to know what we do on New Years to celebrate. We had a great big breakfast, watched the parade, told everyone 'Happy New Year' on the phone today, and toasted at dinnertime with 'sparkly' drinks. So we thought about putting New Years into words and this is what we came up with. We told him that it is all about:
1 - football
2 - reflecting on what we did last year
He seemed to like that and brought up many fun memories from the past. It is amazing how much he really does remember and how many things make an impact on him. It is a good reminder to me that even those little things that I might forget about within a month might leave a lasting impression with him and shape him into who he is going to become.

So it all comes back to the name of this blog. 'Today is my Someday'. So live like it counts today and tomorrow because they will remember!!!!
