Another rainy day here in Hot, Texas.
We've had rain, on and off again, for 6 days now. My children are getting crazy stuck in this house.
We have made robots and sharks out of empty boxes (not very pretty). Our new thing is making tents. We had a huge tent today that occupied the boys for an entire hour. They hung out inside their blanket tent, went out hunting and fishing for food, went back to the tent to cook and eat the food. It was great fun to watch and very EASY on mom!
It seems to me that kiddos love the basics. They love to build and crash down simple towers made of anything, race any kind of car around the kitchen floor, crawl around and pretend to be wild animals, be chefs with me while I prepare meals. Why do I buy them expensive toys? They make the most use out of the basics.
