Boys Choir

Close your eyes and relax. Now think about a sweet sound, the sound of a young boys choir singing hymns and songs in Latin. Isn't it beautiful. Isn't it transcending.

This is still a dream of mine with our oldest. He loves to sing and just performed in his first ever church choir concert. He has been practicing for weeks with the preschool choir. He made a few new friends and learned 4 new songs. They sang the songs and had little hand movements to go with.

He went up on stage and was in the second row. The first two songs went great. He sang them well and did the right hand gestures but the second two songs weren't his best. This is because he turned around at one point and saw a huge projector screen that was showing live feed of the kiddos singing. That was it. He had to turn around every few seconds and check if he was on that screen. No more singing and concentrating.

I loved to watch him though. He did great in my book. He did inform me however once it was over that he didn't want to do that ever again. Bummer for me. I guess my dream of listening to my little boy sing like an angel in a Latin boys choir will have to wait for our second son. He is already showing signs of much potential!!!
