Yes I homeschool. I teach my oldest his daily assignments but today I was privileged to lead as a Shepperd (class teacher) for our youngest's church class.
I went in early to find out my room assignment, read through the lesson, and greet the early attenders. My husband stayed home to get the kids ready (bless his heart). Then he brought them in the other car. Our little guy was not in a church going mood and was whining and just wanted daddy to hold him tight.
His class was full and they asked him to go next door. Once he arrived next door, at my class, and looked in, he couldn't run fast enough through the door and into my arms (tripping over himself on the way in his too big pants). Oh I just melted. I think he gave me 30 kisses during that one hour. I could tell he was proud of me and I was so proud of him. A great mommy memory.
About 1/2 way through the service we all go to KidsChurch to sing and dance. My group sat right in the middle to get a good view. The group who came in to sit next to us was our oldest's class. There sat these two sweet brothers, singing and hugging on each other. While getting up and dancing, he managed to lose his pants a dozen times or so. I guess that daddy couldn't find the belt this morning. Sorry dad, thanks for getting them to church on time!
Your Mom loved me reading your blog to her.

It really is a wonderful feeling to see your children participating at small world. It very rewarding and in two weeks we will start being Benny's shepherd as Tiffany goes off to Planet Kids. Actually, she is allowed to be our 'helper' while we serve in small world so she might be serving with us. Wouldn't that be a treasure! :) Congrats on being a shepherd!
