Pick Up Those Toys

A mom has to remind her children to pick up their toys everyday. Sometimes even multiple times each day.

So whenever someone trips/falls/gets hurt because of a toy in the middle of the room, the kids finally understand why I want their toys picked up. Why do those little Lego's hurt so much to step on in your bare feet? Or crayons, you think you got them all picked up but then a mystery blue appears 3 hours later in an odd ball place.

I even have toy checks before they go to bed now. I ask them to tell me once they are done and then I check each and every room for toys. They always run up ahead of me as I announce which room I am going to next to double check their work. If I find a toy laying around then it is mine to either throw away or donate to other children who will take care of their things. I am a hard core mom, but enough is enough!
