Every birthday our GG Jo sends birthday money. We know when the card comes in that a $5.00 bill will be on the inside and that she is treating us to ice cream. We love the tradition of it. No matter how old you get, you still get your $5.00.
We all know that $5.00 is not enough for a family of four to all get ice cream. This being said our oldest wanted to take his brother
out for ice cream when his money came in this year. We went to a great yogurt shop where you serve your own yogurt and top it and then pay for the number of ounces you piled on. It was perfect and his $5.00 was enough to cover it all. He was so proud to be able to do it all on his own and not have any of mommy's money to help.

It is a perfect concept to help keep family values going. It gets us all together in our crazy hectic life to go and celebrate and remember someone far away is thinking of us too.
We go, and enjoy, and are thankful for a nice treat in the middle of our fast paced lives. $5.00 goes a long way and creates some great memories. It helps me to remember that even all the small things count.
Thanks GG Jo! Miss you.
