She recently went through some trauma with another dog and had to go through an extensive surgery. She made it through great even though she is 12 1/2 years old.
The recovery is going to be slow. She is one 3 different medications currently and is very lethargic. She has stitches, metal wires and metal plates inside her mouth as well as stitches on her face around her eye and part of her nose.
She looks pretty good all things considered and is full of kisses for us. I can tell that she is happy to be out of the hospital and home where she belongs.
It is in times like this that I remember how long we have had her. How blessed we have been having such a great dog in our lives. Sonne is an amazing dog and we know that we will NEVER be able to find another dog that fits so well with our family. She is our little girl. We are praying for her every night for a strong recovery and that her pain all goes away.
