Pink Day

At our MOMents group we had a beautiful pink day.  We wore pink, decorated everything up in pink and even ate pink.  All this while remembering Breast Cancer and the women we know and have known that have been afflicted by this disease.  Gals were sporting shirts of all sorts ('Believe', 'Check Your Cupcakes', 'Save the Hooters', ...).  Even a sweet little boy in a 'Real Men Wear Pink' tee.

During our meeting we sat and made 3 hats as a gift for someone (a woman we have never met).  We talked about who we knew and know that has battled this maddening thing.  We talked about bringing our fears to God.

I like to think that I would lean entirely on the Lord through a battle like Cancer.  I like to think that my faith is strong enough to keep my eyes on God even being dragged through the ditches.  So I prayed for that today.  I prayed that if, and when, I am tested, that my FAITH will stand STRONG!

Lord, hold these women close.  Touch their lives and draw them closer to you.  Give them faith in your healing powers.  You are our one true God.  You are the holder of miracles.
