Baseball Tradition

A few weeks ago the boys in this family all went out into the world for a little baseball tradition.

Baseball Practice the Night before the Flight to Tampa
My husband and his father have a tradition of going to a different baseball stadium to watch a game each year.  So far our little guys haven't been old enough to go but this was the big trial year.  At ages seven and five, they decided to give it a try and bring the boys along and share in their fun tradition.

They chose a game in Tampa Bay, Florida knowing the boys would love being in Florida even if the game didn't go well.

My father-in-law flew out from Tucson the day before to see the kids and get everyone all pumped up for the big day.  They practiced hitting balls while the pitcher pitched from our hot tub!

They all stayed in a beachfront hotel and were able to spend some time playing in the sand before the game.

Once the arrived at the stadium the boys had a great time.  They each got a ball from the pregame batting practice (very lucky).  They saw the stingray tanks.  They ate all kinds of great ballgame food.  The Stadium people even gave them each a 'First Rays Game' pin.

I don't know if the boys will be invited back again for the baseball tradition, but I do know that they had a wonderful time with their dad and grandfather.  I know that this is a memory that will last a lifetime for them both!   Thanks.
