Back to Civilization?

All 19 of us made it out without too many mishaps from our camping trip. Here is a glimpse into our adventure:

Great food, fun games

Lots of hiking. Hiked in 5 miles mostly uphill from Marble, Colorado to Crystal. Hiking out was obviously a lot quicker and easier.

Stayed in 3 very rustic cabins where little critters liked to visit us. My hubby and oldest saw a squirrel stand up, look around, and then hurry back out in the middle of the afternoon. Had to light a wood burning stove each morning to warm up our place. Had to hike to an outhouse to use the facilities.

Fishing in the stream was a success. The river was a little to high for me and the kiddos but a few did fly-fish there. We had a few trout meals.

The stars were amazing. The mountain views were amazing. The fresh air was amazing!

Our kiddos are experts at using headlamps now.
