We have a little person in our house that just turned five and as a typical five year old he has a mouth that just won't stop. He seems to talk from the moment his feet hit the floor until his brother falls asleep at night (still listening to him in their room).
He will talk about anything. If he gets interrupted by anything, he has to start all over with the entire monologue.
He loves to learn the details of scientific things and then tell those details to everyone over and over again. He will talk about the same thing for hours sometimes. At times it can be quite annoying but sitting here meditating about it I realize what a blessing this all is. I know that he won't always be this open with us. Someday, all too soon, he will not want to share everything with his parents. He will have other outlets and people in his life. I pray that these other people are good to him and help lead him the right ways.
He really lets his heart out. We always know when he is joyful or sad or anything in between. He lets us know how he is feeling, why he feels that way, and how it feels to have that emotion. It is definitely an insight into his world. We now know how serious certain things are to him.
Our guy has a compassionate heart and feels so badly when things aren't just perfect. He is very apologetic about one hour after any major meltdown.
He has a serving attitude. He wants to help the world. He loves animals and wants to be an animal rescuer when he is an adult. Also on his list to save are the hungry people in Africa, the kidnapped children across our country, and his brother from any stranger that gets to close.
